Suzhou
Liuyuan Centre Primary School is a 6-year public
school which lies in the west of Xinmin Bridge. It is
very near the famous historic garden ------ Lingering
Garden. Now there are 12 classes, 543 students and 34
teachers in all in the school. It covers an area of
4,600 sq.m and it has a long history of 40 years.
The school
authority strictly carries out 9-year Compulsory
Education Law and Basic Education Teaching Programme of
the People’s Republic of China. They carry out quality
education, and strengthen the school management, renew
the teaching ideas, and build a teacher group with good
mind, good style and good profession. Now the teachers
under 40-year-old have reached 80% of all the teachers.
There are four teachers who have got college degrees,
and 21 teachers who have passed junior college. And four
of them have gained the title ‘Suzhou Excellent
Educator’; three of them have gained ‘Suzhou Double Top
Ten Teachers’. They distribute in every curriculum.
These
years, in pace with the curriculum’s reformation, the
school authority has spent a lot reinforcing the
teaching facilities, and now the school has the group
advantages mainly with English. In the meantime, the
school gets great achievement in school management, such
as ‘Suzhou Advanced Moral Education School’, ‘Suzhou
Civilized Unit’ etc. and much achievement in teaching,
such as first prize in Jiangsu Radio Communication
Contest, first prize in Country Maths Contest, first
prize in Future Scientists Knowledge Contest in Jiangsu
and so on.
Now the
school, with the curriculum’s reformation, tries to get
more achievement, depending on the effective and united
